Velocity works with cloud version control systems like GitHub.com, Bitbucket Cloud, or Gitlab.com as well as self-hosted installations of GitHub Enterprise Server, Bitbucket Server, and on-premise GitLab Server.
If your version control system is not accessible from the public Internet, you’ll need to install the Velocity Agent in order to establish connectivity.
The Velocity Agent can be installed into an environment with the following configuration:
A compatible self-hosted version control system:
GitHub Enterprise 2.18.0 or above; or
Bitbucket Server 5.14 or above; or
GitLab Server 11.11 or above
A compatible hosted version control system:
A virtual machine dedicated to running the Velocity Agent with the following specifications:
Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
Docker CE 18.09 - 19.03
At least 16 GB RAM
At least 16 CPU core
At least 256 GB of disk space on a persistent SSD volume
Network access between the VCS instance and the Velocity Agent virtual machine.

Outbound network access (without a proxy requirement)
If you have a different configuration in mind (e.g. deploying to Kubernetes) or your environment has additional restrictions like limited outbound network access or a proxy requirement, please contact us and we’d be happy to work with you on a Proof of Concept (POC).
